Wesley Road, Colehill

Extension

Now this was a tricky one.  We started with a small courtyard which had a retaining wall around it holding back earth which was at its highest point over 2.4 metres high.

First we had to remove the inadequate retaining wall, whilst supporting all the earthworks and then concrete very wide footings with rebar coming up through them.  Then we had to rebuild a new retaining wall with hollow concrete blocks.

Once the walls were built, we then had to tank the structure to protect from water ingress from the surrounding earth.  Then it was time to enclose it with a ply roof with membrane fitted on top.

The finishing pieces were the floating slabs on the roof for a patio as well as the glass and steel balustrading creating a lovely courtyard feel with views of Wimborne and beyond.  We finished off with re-turfing existing grass area and fitting out the inside of the extension which was to become an ensuite.

Dear Dan, thank you for a job well done and please thank all the team as well.  I hope the business goes from strength to strength. I know Bob always said he wanted you to do our contract = now I can fully understand why. Best wishes Judy
